SSES Gästskribent: Entrepreneurship, where do we start?

Welcome back!
Do you ever notice the slight tinge of prestigiousness when it comes to being able to introduce oneself as the founder and executer of a business concept? Whenever I stand at a corner sipping my drink at a networking event, observing people conversing and exchanging introductory information, I see the awe in the eyes of the receiver when he or she found out that the other person is the founder of the company.
Now… What is it about entrepreneurship that amazes people?
To me, the precise reason why we look up to entrepreneurs is not so much of that they are willing to take risks but rather that we see them as people who have the intelligence or the knack of forward thinking which we lack. That is why we get the “OOoooos… and Aaaaaas” or the twinkle in the eye when a person got introduced to a founder. However, is it true that entrepreneurs are the top of the league when it comes to the measurement of intelligence? No. Stripping aside all big terminologies and qualities that makes an entrepreneurs, they are just observant people who are sensitive to people’s needs. That simple.
Therefore, before one gets all those fuzzies about how difficult is it to become an entrepreneur, let’s just start with paying more attention to the happenings and people around you
